from carlin

This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen.

  2. he was more than just a comedian i guess....in the early 90's he himself acknowledged that many times he felt he was a better writer than he was a comedian.."Brain droppings" sold over a million copies which is astonishing in itself put with other classics of literature...
he used to say language sustained him..when he was a child his mother would point to a word in the newspaper and then say "see how that word just cuts through you"....that is how this legend was born...

i think he's somewhere looking at us smiling at our anguish and petty and perverse ways and saying to himself....'i told u so,but u thought it was only a gig..." RIP
