sometimes, unsaid words are more alluring than the ones spoken.
ReplyDeleteAnd I consider this..."Confirmation bias makes us susceptible to hearing only things that reinforce our opinion, and the more closely held out opinion, the more selective we seem to be about the things we pay attention to. Is that what was said or is that what you heard?" We are staring alright, into the uncomfortable void our presumption has emptied.
